On Thursday October 4, we invite you to participate in a listening session for the Chain Reaction: Alternatives to Calling the Police project.
This listening session is the third phase of the project. We will share some of the audio stories collected from and by youth about their encounters with the police and will think through what types of alternatives to policing we might employ and/or create to decrease the criminalization of young people.
The event begins at 5:30 p.m. It will take place at the Gage Gallery, 18 S. Michigan Ave. More information about this event along with the ongoing juvenile justice discussion series accompanying Richard Ross’s Juvenile-in-Justice photography exhibition can be found here.
