We are proud to close out our residency at Mess Hall next week with an art exhibition titled “Re-Imagining Struggle and Community Resistance.” The exhibition will feature photographs and illustrations by Halley Miglietta and Terrence Haymer.
Join us first on Sunday May 15th from 2 to 4 p.m. at Mess Hall, 6932 N. Glenwood Ave for the opening of the show. We will have desserts and wine so you won’t want to miss it! You can print the flier for this event here.
Then you can stop by to see the show on these dates and times:
Monday May 16th — 2 to 5 p.m.
Tuesday May 17th — 3 to 6 p.m.
Thursday May 19th — 4 to 8 p.m.
Finally join us on Thursday May 19th from 6 to 8 p.m. at Mess Hall for a conversation about using zines to discuss juvenile justice and prisons. This conversation will underscore examples of zines as tools for popular education. Bring your own copies of relevant publications. We will then work together on planning our own prison or juvenile justice related zine. Pizza will be available.
